New York Islanders Promotional Schedule 2024 Season

Islanders Star Wars Night of the 2023/24 season is scheduled for January 11, 2024. The Islanders will be hosting the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Star Wars Night will return this season in January when the Isles play the Maple Leafs on Thursday at 7:00 PM but the festivities will most likely begin ahead of time. They will be giving away a "double-sided Star Wars Night bucket hat" to all of the fans in attendance, presented by Dime. 

George Lucas' Star Wars first released in 1977 is most certainly a big part of the culture and the Islanders and most of the NHL teams generally dedicate a night in their calendar to celebrate that fact.

The impact of the Star Wars film franchise on the culture is evident from the fact that it has spawned its unofficial holiday called "Star Wars Day". NHL teams usually take part in this celebration as well.

The Minnesota Wild is one example of an NHL team celebrating "Star Wars" this season at the Xcel Energy Center Arena on March 3rd. They have also announced the inclusion of a Matt Boldy-themed "Boldy-wan Kenobi" bobblehead included in the ticket package. 

Star Wars Day is celebrated on May 4th mostly by Star Wars fans usually greeting each other with the catchphrase "May the fourth be with you". The annual holiday was first celebrated in an organized fashion in 2011 at the Toronto Underground Cinema in Toronto, Canada, home of the Leafs. 

The Night generally entails costumed characters from the movie making appearances in the Arena throughout the night so, be on the lookout for your favorite characters. Fans are also welcome to dress up as their favorite characters for the celebration. 

New York Islanders Stadium Series of 2023-24 is scheduled to take place at 3:00 PM ET on February 18, 2024, when they take on the Rangers at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.

Stadium Series in the NHL is a regular season outdoor game played every year since 2014. Seven teams participated in the four-game event held in three cities in football and baseball stadiums. 

The 2024 Stadium Series will be the second time the Islanders and Rangers are playing each other in the Stadium Series. The 2016 Stadium Series was the last time more than two games were scheduled and the first time the NHL has staged two outdoor games on back-to-back days.

The Islanders were among the seven teams to take part in the first Stadium Series ever held on January 29, 2014. They played the Rangers at the Yankee Stadium losing the game 2-1. 

The Rangers were the only team to play two games in the 2014 Stadium Series, they were coming off a  7-3 win against the New Jersey Devils three days earlier. The Devils will be playing the Philadelphia Flyers for the Stadium Series on February 17, one day before the Islanders V Rangers game.

The 2024 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series tickets for the NYI VS NYR game can be found here. The event is a fully mobile ticket event and Fans can watch the game from home on ABC, ESPN+, SN, and TVAS.

Islanders Pride Night Celebration will take place at 7:30 PM on January 23, 2024. They will be hosting the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Islanders will not be wearing Pride-themed jerseys for the event as "Specialty Jerseys" are banned under NHL guidelines and the Isles had not done so in the past before they were banned. The Isles has an organizational policy that states they do not use many specialty jerseys.

The only specialty Jerseys worn by the Isles last season were on Military Appreciation, Hockey Fights Cancer, and St. Patrick's Day produced by the league itself. The ban on specialty jerseys is still there but the ban on Pride tape was recently lifted.

The ban on the Pride tape has been lifted but whether or not we will see Islanders players use them remains to be seen. 

The Islanders have supported the LGBTQ+ Community through auctions and other actions over the years they were the first sports franchise to participate in the LGBT Network's Anti-Bullying Global Campaign.

New York Islanders Fan Appreciation Night is scheduled for April 17, 2024. The Islanders will be hosting the Pittsburgh Penguins at 7:00 p.m.

Fan Appreciation Night is the way for the Isles to celebrate the support their fans have shown over the years and throughout the season with various activities and surprises.

The Isles will be celebrating the fans' passion for the team throughout the week with various offers and Surprises that will be no doubt announced as the date approaches. 

The Islanders were founded in 1972 which means they celebrated their 50th Anniversary last season. For Fan Appreciation Night when the Isles hosted the Canadiens on April 12, 2023,  they gave away a "50th Anniversary Mini Book" to all the Fans in attendance and all the concession stands were 10% off courtesy of American Express.

The Mini Book was given as a teaser to the "5oth Anniversary Commemorative" Book written by Stan Fischler. The giveaway of last season's fan appreciation included the chance to win a 4-night stay at Mission Pacific Hotel & Seabird Resort in San Diego, a player-signed puck, and more.

After the Military Appreciation Night on the 11th, the next theme night the Islanders will be hosting is the Mental Health Awareness Night on January 9, 2024, when they play the Vancouver Canucks. The first 10,000 fans will get an "Islanders foam finger stress toy" presented by the Isles' official HealthcarePartner, Northwell Health. 

In addition to the Mental Health Awareness Night, Women in Sports Night(Mar 5 Vs St. Louis Blues) and First Responders Night(Apr 6, Vs Nashville Predators) are also theme nights presented by, NorthWell. 

The Isles will be hosting a specialty night "Deaf Awareness Night" on December 7 which is part of the Special Group Nights in their calendar. They will be giving away an Islanders ASL Hat to the first 400 fans who buy a ticket to the game on Thursday when they host the Columbus Blue Jackets.
