Upgradable HUT Cards In NHL 24
NHL 24 X-Factor cards are upgradable cards. These cards match the highest OVR of cards released for that player and feature numerous swappable synergies and abilities.
X-Factor cards can be collected through pack pulls and X-Factor packs, which are rare.
X-Factor packs are available in the X-Factor set menu and the seasonal collectible sets. A one-time pack also can be accessed after completing the X-Factor challenges.
X-Factor pack could be collected after leveling up World of Chel in previous versions, which has been discontinued in the NHL 24.
Another upgradable card in the NHL 24 are Power-Up Icon. PUIs are upgradable NHL Alumni players usually the best stars from the past including Wayne Gretzky and more.
Power-Up Icons are upgraded by +1 each month and also match the highest OVR card released.
X-Factors HUT cards allow the players to scale them up in order to keep them on par with the current meta in terms of OVRs.
The HUT cards are definitely expensive, but they're a reasonable investment if you're a fan of the player and are a great tool to pull early games.
In previous versions, X-Factors HUT cards were assigned to the best players in the league. However, they're slightly different in the NHL 24.
In the new version of the EA Sports NHL game, each NHL team will have an X-Factor card instead of the players.
Because of this new policy, some of the notable players including Auston Matthews and Leon Draisaitl have not received X-Factor card versions.
The HUT cards are upgradeable over time but they keep being more expensive with every upgrade. On the other hand, Event cards and HUT Champs are non-upgradable cards in NHL 24.
