When Does College Hockey Start 2023-24 Season?

When does college hockey start? The college hockey season will start on 6 October 2023 and wrap up with the championship game on April 13.

Throughout the season, 64 ice hockey teams will participate in the NCAA Div I. Two teams have been further added from the last hockey season.

The first conference series is planned for November 3-4, and the Frozen Four is set to take place on April 11 and 13 at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

The honor of hosting the Penrose Cup will be bestowed upon the winner, marking their outstanding achievement and success in the tournament.

This prestigious cup signifies not only victory but also a testament to the dedication and hard work put forth by the team throughout the season.

College Ice Hockey Schedule 2023

The 2023-24 ice hockey season is eagerly anticipated to kick off on October 6, 2023. This season marks the 76th edition of the NCAA ice hockey championship, coinciding with the celebration of 130 years of US college hockey.

Likewise, the competition for the CHA regular season championship will unfold across ten exciting weekends, commencing on October 27-28.

The action-packed opening games include RIT facing off against Lindenwood, Mercyhurst hosting Robert Morris, and Penn State hitting the ice against Syracuse.

In a thrilling format, each CHA team is slated to engage in 20 conference games, locking horns with the other five CHA squads four times during the course of the 2023-24 campaign.

As the season reaches its climax, hockey enthusiasts can look forward to the Frozen Four extravaganza scheduled for April 11 and April 13, 2024.
