3ice Hockey Rosters
There are eight hockey teams in the 3ice.
1. Team Patrick
Team Patrick is named after Craig Patrick - the American former hockey player and coach. Patrick has been newly appointed as a commissioner of 3ice hockey.
Craig was born in 1946. He was Assistant General Manager and Assistant Coach for the United States men's national ice hockey team under Herb Brooks. The team won the gold medal defeating the Soviet Union in the 'Miracle on Ice.'
From 1989 to 2006, Patrick worked as the general manager of the Pittsburgh Penguins. He won back-to-back Stanley Cup Championships in 1991 and 1992 with the Penguins.

2. Team Murphy
Larry Murphy's team was placed in the 4th position during the first 3ice season. The former Canadian defenceman, Murphy was born in 1961. Murphy's 20 years NHL career ended up playing for different teams.
He won two back-to-back Stanley Cup championships in 1991 and 1992 with Pittsburgh Penguins and 1997 and 1998 with Detroit Red Wings. In 2004, Larry was selected for the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Larry is the fifth leading-scorer defenseman in NHL history with 1,216 points. Murphy is a studio analyst for the Red Wings on Bally Sports Detroit.

3. Team Leclair
The 2023 season is 2nd season for John Leclair as a 3ice coach. The team placed 3rd during the inaugural season of 3ice.
John's NHL career was completed in 16 seasons with the Montreal Canadiens, Philadelphia Flyers, and Pittsburgh Penguins. With the Flyers, the athlete became the first American player to score 50 goals in three consecutive NHL seasons.
The player was inducted into the United States Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009.

4. Team Fuhr
Grant Fuhr spends his second season as a 3ice coach in 2023. The Canadian former goaltender Grant was born in 1962. He also served as a goaltending coach for Arizona Coyotes.
Fuhr won Stanley Cup five times while playing for Edmonton Oilers in the 1980s. He became All-Star six times. The hockey star was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2003.
Grant was listed as one of the 100 Greatest NHL Players in history in 2017. He is the first black player to win the Stanley Cup and to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

5. Team Bourque
Ray Bourque is in his first season in 2023 as a 3ice coach. The Canadian athlete was born in 1960.
Ray holds the record in the NHL for a defenceman's most career goals, assists, and points. The player won the James Norris Memorial Trophy five times. The hockey athlete had his name in the 100 Greatest NHL Players in 2017.
Bourque played 21 seasons with Boston Bruins and was Boston's longest-serving captain. The athlete retired NHL with Colorado Avalanche, with whom he won Stanley Cup.

6. Team Carbonneau
Guy Carbonneau decided to return for the second season in 2023 as a 3ice coach. The former Canadian NHL player, coach, and executive, Carbonneau was born in 1960.
Montreal Canadiens selected Carbonneau in the 1979 NHL Entry Draft with the 44th overall pick. The athlete helped the Canadiens to win a Stanley Cup with his solid defensive forward play.
Guy became the captain of the Canadiens in the 1989-90 season and won another Stanley Cup in the 1992-93 season against the Los Angeles Kings. He played for the Dallas Stars before his retirement.

7. Team Johnston
Ed Johnston enters 3ice in 2023 as his first season. The former Canadian goaltender John's NHL career span was of fifty-three years; he spent 22 years as a player and the rest as a manager.
Eddie won two Stanley Cups with Boston Bruins in 1970 and 1972. He again won it in 2009 as a senior advisor with Pittsburgh Penguins. In the NHL 1963-64 season, Johnston was the last goaltender to play every game full-time.

8. Team Mullen
Team Mullen carries the legacy of Joe Mullen. 2023 is the second 3ice season for Mullen as a coach. Team Mullen was the Champions of the inaugural season.
The American former ice hockey player Mullen played for St. Louis Blues, Calgary Flames, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Boston Bruins during his 16 seasons NHL career from 1980 to 1997.
Joe became the first American player to score 500 goals and reach 1000 points. The hockey athlete got inducted into the United States Hockey Hall of Fame in 1998. In 2000, he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
