Mark Stone

Mark Stone was appointed captaincy in January 2021. He was acquired by the Knights in a trade with the Ottawa Senators in 2019.

The Knights did not have any captain for straight three seasons after entering NHL expansion in the 2017-18 season. Ottawa drafted Stone in the 6th round(no. 178) in 2010.

The Winnipeg native has 584 games and has made 196 goals. He has made 318 assists and 514 

The 31-year-old was missing from the lineup for over 3 months due to a back injury. He also had another back surgery back in May 2022.

He joined the team again in the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Winnipeg Jets in Round One. Before he joined, they finished first in the Western Conference.

Vegas Golden Knights Alternate Captain

During the 2020-21 season, Alex and Reilly were announced as the alternative team captains. Stone also served as an alternative caption from 2017 to 2021.

In their initial year, they had six alternate captains including Luca Sbisa, Jason Garrison, James Neal, Deryal Engellan.

Vegas Golden Knights coach is Bruce Cassidy. Vegas Golden Knights general manager has been Kelly McCrimmon since May 2019.

Bruce Cassidy

Bruce Cassidy coaching record is 292 wins and 155 losses and 9 ties. He was hired as head coach for the Knights on 14 June 2022.

He signed a 5-year contract worth $22,500,000. He replaced the team's former coach Peter DeBoer who was fired in May 2022.

The Ottawa native won the Jack Adams Award in 2020. He previously served for the Boston Bruins for seven seasons and worked with teams Washington Capitals and Chicago Blackhawks.

Cassidy was drafted 18th overall by the Chicago Black Hawks in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. Before that, he used to play in the Ontario Hockey League for the Ottawa 67’s in the 1982-83 season.

His playing career was cut short by three knee operations from 1984 to 1988, including a total ACL reconstruction.

Before Cassidey, Gerard Gallant served as head coach from 2017 to 2020. Then, Peter DeBoer held the title for two years in 2020 and 2022.

Bruce is married to Julie Cassidy. They have a happy family of four with two kids, Shannon Cassidy and Cloe Cassidy.

Kelly McCrimmon

Kelly McCrimmon was announced as the first assistant general manager of the Knights. He turned down the Toronto Maple Leaf's offer to join the front office.

McCrimmon coached for the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League in the starting years of his career. He has served as GM for the Wheat Kings guiding them to five Memorial Cup appearances.

In the 2014-15 season, he was named the assistant coach to Team Canada at the World Junior Championships in Finland.

He was key in the team's scouting, planning, and player assessment leading up to and during the 2017 Expansion Draft and the team's maiden Entry Draft in June 2017.

He reports to George McPhee, the club's president. He is in charge of all hockey operations decisions and oversees the club.

George previously held the position from July 2016 to September 2019. During his tenure, the team made one Stanley Cup appearance. He won the General Manager of the Year Award (2017–18).

Since he joined the team, they have achieved one division title and two Stanley Cup playoff appearances.

Kelly is married to Terri McCrimmon who serves as receptionist on its staff directory on the team. They have two children namely Chelsea and Mick.
