NHL on The Fly Hosts and Cast Members

NHL On The Fly hosts are Jamie Hersch, Mike Kelly, Kelly Nash and Erika Watcher. Mark Parrish serves as the analyst for the team.

It is a postgame show that airs after the games are finished and features some of the exciting moments of the day with analysis by experts.

Jamie Hersch appears on the NHL Network's Flagship show, NHL Tonight as well as the recap show of the NHL On The Fly that airs every night postgame, highlighting interviews, breaking news, scores, and postgame clips.

NHL Tonight, which was formerly known as NHL on the Fly: Final. It is hosted by Jamison Coyle and Tony Luftman, featuring analysts Kendall Coyne Schofield, Ken Daneyko, Devan Dubnyk, Stu Grimson, Scott Hartnell, Billy Jaffe, and more.

The NHL network has a lot of exciting shows in their programming lineup for Hockey Fans. 

Jackie Redmond cohosts the show, which airs on Weekdays from 4:00-6:00 PM Eastern Time and features fresh off-the-ice analysts and takes the viewer inside the locker rooms and much more exciting content.

Jamie Hersch

Jamie Hersch is one of the NHL On The Fly hosts female and appears on NHL Network's NHL as the co-host with Lauren Gardner.

The Champlin, Minnesota native is a sports Journalist who works for the MLB Network and the NHL Network. She hosts the MLB Network's Quick Pitch, which "On The Fly" is modeled after. 

Hersch joined the Network in 2015 and appeared as a reporter on the NHL Network's special events like the All-Star game and the Stanley Cup Final before working with the NHL.

Michele Tafoya's appearance on Monday Night Football was the career-deciding moment for Hersch's interest in sports broadcasting. Tayofa is a former broadcaster who covered the NFL as a sideline reporter on NBC primarily.

After graduation, she started her broadcasting career with WKOW-TV in Madison, Wisconsin, where she earned an award from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association for her work as a sports anchor and reporter.

She has also covered Hockey, Football, and Basketball games for the Big Ten Network.

Hersch joined Fox Sports North in 2013, covering the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Wild, where she spent 3 seasons.

She hosted the pregame and postgame shows for the Wild as the sideline reporter for the Twins, appearing at times on MLB Network's The Rundown.

In 2015, she traveled to Kuwait with several former NHL Players, covering the former players "who brought hockey to the American troops serving overseas."

This was one of the highlights of her career, and at Camp Buehring, she stayed with the soldiers while they ran the skills clinic and played floor hockey games. 

Mike Kelly

Mike Kelly is an insider who appears on several of NHL Network's programming including On The Fly. She joined the NHL Network in 2017.

The Manotick, Ontario native currently serves as the Director of Analytics and Insights at Sportlogiq. It is an industry leader in Sports Analytics which is an AI-powered sports Analytics Company 

Kelly joined Sportlogiq in 2017 as the Director of Media and Content where he was responsible for managing the media division and overseeing the content execution for their digital, print media, and broadcast clients. He was in this role for six years until his promotion in 2023. 

He has worked in the past as the color commentator for the Laval Rockets of the AHL and on select telecasts of the Montreal Canadiens games.

Before joining the Network, Mike worked as a consultant at Kelly Consulting Inc. from 2013 to 2017, providing stats-based analysis to NHLPA-certified agents to use for contract negotiations.

Mike Kelly worked as a producer on the TSN Network Canada from 2008 to 2014 and was responsible for producing feature stories and handling studio programming.

He also served as the on-site reporter at the 2020 Stanley Cup playoffs in addition to providing insights and analysis on the Network. He has been with the team for the past six years since joining in 2017. 

Kelly Nash

Kelly Nash is one of the NHL On The Fly presenters serving as studio host with the NHL Network. She joined the network in 2015. 

Nash is famous among MLB fans for her appearances on the MLB Network and was even dubbed by the fans as the "most gorgeous to ever do it." On the MLB Network, she appears on shows like "The Rundown" and "Quick Pitch".

She graduated with a Master's Degree in TV broadcast Journalism from the University of Miami and also has a master's degree in Youth Development Leadership from Clemson University.

Nash began her broadcast career with the Atlantic Coast Conference Digital Network as the On-Camera host and production assistant for three years starting in September 2011. 

Her broadcast experience includes her coverage of Dolphins, Heat, Marlins, and Hurricanes out of South Florida between 2005-2010 for WPLG Local 10 News as an intern. 

Before joining the MLB Network and the NHL Network in 2015, She worked as a sideline reporter covering the Tampa Bay Ras, Orlando Magic, and Tampa Bay Lightning with Fox Sports for 2 years.

She began contributing in 2015 after the NHL Network started airing their daily shows from the MLB Network's headquarters. 

In January 2022, Kelly married MLB pitcher Dallas Keuchel, with whom she had been involved since 2019. She works as a baseball coach for a youth team in New Jersey. 

Erika Wachter

Erika Wachter is a studio Host of the NHL On The Fly cast and the NHL Network. She also works for the New Jersey Devils on MSG.

The New Jersey native debuted on the show in October 2021, though she joined in 2018. Before joining the network, she spent two years as a reporter and as a host on FOX 5 New York.

Watcher hosts the pregame, postgame, and intermission shows for the New Jersey Devils on MSG Network's MSG+ and has been doing so for the past five years.

Her broadcast experience includes five months as a News Producer Intern for News Channel 9 WSYR, one year as a Production Assistant on ESPN, and one year as a Sports Reporter at the University of Connecticut covering UConn football and basketball.

Before joining FOX Television Stations as a Sports Reporter, Erika worked for a year as a Freelance Host and Reporter, working for clients like CPTV Sports, NESN, COX Sports, and CT Tigers.

While with the FOX Network, she received the 2018 NY Emmy in the Health/Science: Program/Special category and was recently nominated for an NY Emmy in 2022 as the best sports anchor. 

In addition to hosting the NHL's "On the Fly", Watcher also makes appearances on the NHL Network's flagship show "NHL Tonight" and various shows on the MLB Network. 

Watcher graduated Summa cum laude from Syracuse University with a major in Broadcast Journalism and a double minor in Marketing Management and Psychology. While in college, she played Division 1 Varsity Field Hockey, which gave her an edge in covering sports in her professional career and still does today.
