Is NHL Center Ice On YouTube TV?

NHL Center Ice is not available on YouTube TV. ESPN+ provides the essential streaming service for NHL coverage in the U.S.A.

It allows fans access to generally around 40 NHL games per week but will require a cable or satellite subscription. The service launched in 1995, usually provides a free preview of the first three weeks of each NHL season.

The Center Ice is not carried by YouTube TV yet but that does not mean you cannot watch Hockey games on YouTube TV. The streaming television service launched by YouTube in 2017, does offer channels like NBC Sports Network, ESPN, and various Regional Sports Networks (RSN) that telecasts NHL games. 

Among RSNs not available on YouTube TV is NESN which carries the Boston Bruins and Boston Red Sox games. 

The MLB Network was dropped by YouTube TV after they could not come to terms with the MLB Network for continued carriage of the service. NBA TV and the NFL Network added in 2017 & 2020 respectively are available on YouTube TV. 

Is The NHL Network On YouTube TV?

The short answer is No. YouTube TV does not have the NHL Network available on its platform. 

Launched on October 1, 2007, It is a cable and satellite Network that provides broadcasts of ice Hockey games primarily focusing on NHL and NHL-related content.

Besides the NHL, they have aired games of the AHL, IIHF Junior championships, college hockey, and the American Hockey League. 

The network telecasts the live games of the NHL, and their programming includes shows like NHL Tonight, On the Fly, NHL Now, NHL Classics, NHL Network Ice Time, and more. 

DIRECTV STREAM and fubuTV carry the network and offer free trials, which means until the free trial expires, you can get the channel for free.

NHL games can be found on YouTube TV through various sports channels it carries like ESPN. YouTube TV has dropped all of the FOX Network's RSNs which carried the regional sports network NESN, which airs Bruins games. 

Sling TV is the most cost-efficient way to get the NHL Network, available as part of their Sports Extra. 

The combination of the Sling Orange base plan and the Sports Extra add-on means you get ESPN and TNT along with the network, leaving you with a lot of hockey covered in a plan that costs between $40 to $55 per month

Where To Watch NHL Center Ice?

NHL Center Ice can be watched on channel number 769 -785 on DirecTV. The package is also available on providers like Spectrum, Verizon, Xfinity, and more.

Center Ice is a sports package that provides up to 40 out-of-market games per week. The service provides regional games to fans that are out of the market and does not include nationally broadcast games in the USA and Canada. 

The service launched in 1995 includes games telecast on Sportsnet, Hockey Night in Canada, ABC, ESPN, and TNT/TBS for out-of-region viewers.

The NHL Network is included in the NHL Center Ice Package which costs $69.99 per season.  Along with the in-market games, the Stanley Cup Playoff is also not included in the NHL Center Ice, and blackout restrictions apply for the telecasted games which means you might watch games less than 40 games sometimes. 

One of the advantages of Center Ice is that it comes with a dual-feed when available which means fans can choose between home and away telecasts.

ESPN+ offers the same coverage as the NHL Center Ice and an additional 50 exclusive NHL games this season.

ESPN+ costs $109.99 per year or $10.99 per month and is available as a streaming service, unlike NHL Center Ice which requires a cable or Satellite TV provider to access and can no longer be steamed on the NHL app. 

NHL Center Ice Cost

NHL center ice costs $69.99 for a full season of the NHL. Some providers have made a three-month plan available which costs $23.33 per month.

Center Ice costs per season was $59.99 last season but they increased the price by 10 dollars this season. The decision to increase the price for the Center Ice was made after ESPN+ increased their price from $69.99 per year to $99.99 per year.

ESPN+ which provides 50 exclusives this season along with the out-of-market games they offer costs $10.99 per month. The annual package of ESPN+, a streaming service that does not require a cable or satellite TV subscription comes around to $109.99 per year.

The prices of the NHL Center Ice usually drop around the midseason of the NHL which can be a good option if you want the package on a bargain. 

The NHL Center Ice which costs $69.99 per season is an add-on package and it requires a subscription to a cable or satellite TV provider that offers the package to access.

So, you might need to pay more than 70 bucks to get the package but the pro is that it comes with the NHL Network included. 

How Much Is NHL Center ice On Xfinity? 

NHL Center Ice is an add-on package that costs $20 per month and requires a minimum subscription to Xfinity Limited Basic/Choice TV.

The NHL season is around six to seven months and with a Xfinity Limited Basic TV subscription, the cost incurred to get NHL Center Ice on Xfinity for a full single NHL season is around 200 bucks.

The NHL Center Ice schedule includes out-of-market broadcasts of NHL games so the games available can vary based on your location for fans in the USA and Canada. 

The games that are in-market are not aired on the NHL Center Ice and are subject to Blackout restrictions which means the games are not available in your region if there is an RSN that holds the broadcasting rights to NHL games in your area.
