Nashville Predators Head Coach 2023
Andrew Brunette is the head coach of Nashville Predators. Brunette was introduced as the franchise's fourth head coach on May 31, 2023.
He is actually the former player of the Predators. Moreover, Andrew scored the team's first-ever goal during the 1998-99 NHL season.
Brunette has spent more than 25 years in the NHL as a player, coach, or front office member. He was serving as an associate coach for the New Jersey Devils during the 2022-23 season before joining the Preds.
"I am super excited to be back in Nashville and a part of the Predators organization," said Andrew. "I feel like this is coming full circle for my career - from pulling on the jersey for the first time 25 years ago to returning now to take care of some unfinished business."
Brunette became an interim head coach of the Florida Panthers in the 2021-22 season. This was his first NHL head coaching job lasting less than a month into the campaign.
He helped the team to the best regular season in franchise history. Florida recorded 58-18-6 (122 points) en route to the President's Trophy.
Brunette has experience working as an assistant coach for the Panthers in the previous two seasons and reached the postseason both times.
He was stuck with the Minnesota Wild organization for seven seasons prior to his journey with the Panthers. He occupied different roles and qualified for the playoffs on six occasions.
During his 16-season NHL career, Brunette appeared in 1,110 games. The forward played for Washington Capitals, Nashville Predators, Atlanta Thrashers, Minnesota Wild, Colorado Avalanche, and Chicago Blackhawks, accumulating 733 points.
