At that time, Lessard was the goal-tender of Los Angeles King.

Modern-day record holder, Tugnott holds the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim record for most saves. In addition, he possesses the Pittsburgh Penguins' record for the highest save percentage in playoffs.

Similarly, Martin Brodeur, who played for New Jersey Devils and St. Louis Blues, holds the record for most saves in his career with a total of 28,928 SVS.

NHL Save Percentage

Goalie Save percentage in NHL is a statistic that tracks the goalie saves. The percentage is calculated by dividing the number of saves by the shots faced.

It is often represented as symbols, such as SV%, SVS%, SVP, and PCT. Even though it is called "percentage," the save percentage is displayed in decimal. For instance, if 100 shots were taken and only four were converted, SV% would be ".960", and the percentage is 96% in International Hockey.

To be ranked in the list of highest SV% of the season, a player has to play at least 25 games, and in a career, one should play at least 100 games.
