Do the Miami Heat and Florida Panthers play in the same arena? No, the Miami Heat and the Florida Panthers don't play in the same arena.

However, the NHL franchise shared its former arena, Miami Arena, first few years with Miami Heat. Now, both sports team have their distinctive home stadium.

The Cats now play at FLA Live Arena, which opened in 1998, whereas the Heat's current home is Kaseya Center. The latter was opened around 23 years ago.

Similarly, the Panthers' home organized their first game on October 9, 1998. On the other hand, the Miami-based indoor arena was closed in July 2008.

Opened on July 13, 1998, Miami Arena had a seating capacity of 14,700 for ice hockey and 15,200 for basketball.

The Heat was founded in 1988. In 1987, the National Basketball Association let the team join the league as one of the four expansion teams.

Cuban American singer Gloria Estefan performed on the inauguration day. On January 2, the Heat played their first match in the stadium against Orlando Magic. Miami won the game with a 111-103.

To date, the stadium has organized three NBA Finals in 2012,2013, and 2014. Furthermore, the stadium has been the home of Premio Lo Nuestro Latin music awards since 2001.

Apart from basketball, the stadium hosts sports like mixed martial arts and professional wrestling.

This year, FLA Live hosted the NHL All-Star Game on February 4. Likewise, it will host the 2023 Stanley Cup Finals games 3, 4, and 6(if necessary). The first match at the stadium is scheduled for June 10.

FLA Live Arena Seating Chart
