It is the official home to the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League (AHL). Once referred to as Centennial Garden, it is a multi-purpose indoor arena that became operative in 1998 with a whopping cost of $38 million.

Mechanics Bank has owned the arena's naming rights since 2019 after they merged with Rabobank, the former owner since 2005. Besides the Condors, it is set to serve as home to the Arena Football League's upcoming team, the California Grizzlies, from 2024.

ASM Global manages the venue, while the City of Bakersfield owns the complex. The Mechanics Bank Theater & Convention Center is attached to the arena, featuring a 3000-seat theater and an exhibit hall.

Since its opening, the arena has hosted NCAA Division II Elite Eight Tournaments, Monster Truck shows PBR rodeos, High School Wrestling Championship, NHL and NBA preseason games, the ECHL All-Star Game, and several concerts.

Mechanics Bank Arena Seating Chart

Seating for the Mechanics Bank Arean is similar for all events hosted. The floor is usually split into six sections during concerts to increase capacity.

Sections 1, 2, and 3 are closest to the stage area and feature 26 numbered rows of seats with labeling A to Z. All six sections feature the same design and offer a broader view of the stage in contrast to the lower and upper sections.

To enjoy the musical concerts and events to the fullest, floors 1-3 offer the best uninterrupted close-up artist view. You can also interact with the artist if you are lucky. However, some concerts set up General Admission (GA) floors instead of sections.

You can get the closest spot to the stage on the GA floor if you arrive early to the concert, as the floor is an open area without any divisions or seats. Besides the floor, the arena's seating chart is divided into two sections: upper and lower.

The lower region is divided into glass, club, rinkside, and executive, while the upper region incorporates sixteen mezzanines, two $12 decks, and accessible seatings.

The lower section of the venue is made up of 18 sections from 100 to 117, each of which incorporates a maximum of 18 numbered rows of seats from A to R, except for Sections 100 and 117. These sections are smaller than the rest and incorporate nine numbered rows of seats from H to S.

Likewise, Sections 200-217 make up the arena's upper region. Here, Sections 200-205 each have 14 numbered rows of seats from A to N, while Sections 206-207 and 210-212 feature 15 rows of seats with labeling A to M.

Sections 208 and 209 are the largest in the region, with 16 rows of seats from A to P. The remaining sections, 213-217, feature 11 rows of numbered seats from A to K.

For a great view of the ice, seats close to the Bakersfield Condors' bench provide the best experience. Rows O-R of Section 103 and Rows A-K of Section 105 offer the best view of the ice after Section 104.

The arena also offers Luxury Suites for a premium seating experience. The suites are available above sections 100, 103-105, 107, 109, 112-114, 117, and 214-217. The venue features 30 luxury suites, while Suites 3-13 offer the best viewing experience concerning the Condors' bench and the side they shoot twice.
