Two years past his retirement, Allen took up curling with three former NFL players, hoping to compete in the Olympics one day. He formed the All-Pro Curling Team and skipped for the 2018-19 season.

During his rookie curling season, the team appeared in the 2018 Curl Mesabi Classic, the 2019 USA Men's Challenge Round, and the Ed Werenich Golden Wrench Classic. They went winless during that season.

The following season, Jason Smith joined the rink as a skip and has led the team with Allen as the third, Roos as the second, Bulger as the lead, and Bulluck as an alternate.

The journey to curling from the NFL started just like the famous Jared Allen mullet, with him competing in the 2019 Goldline US Open of Curling - Contender Round to the 2020 USA Men's Challenge Round during the 2019-20 season.

Furthermore, Allen played second in the 2021 United States Men's Curling Championship for Todd Birr, the 2007 US Champion.

Also, he became part of a 10-6 triumph against the Duluth Curling Club's John Shuster rink during the 2023 USA Curling Men's National Championship's Draw 1.

Jason Smith

Jason Smith became the 2009 United States Men's Olympic Curling Team Trial champion, earning the privilege to represent the USA at the 2009 World Championships.

The 2009 win doubled as the National Championship, and Smith earned his team a place at the 2009 World Championships and the 2010 Winter Olympics, representing the US. The championship was held in New Brunswick, Canada, while the Olympics occurred in British Columbia.

Smith was the vice skip of the John Shuster rink then, with teammates John Benton, Chris Plys, and Jeff Isaacson. Plys played as an alternate. The rink placed fifth at the World Championship while finishing the Olympics with a record of 2-7 in the round-robin.

Since the 2016-17 season, Jason played second for the Criag Brown rink and helped the team finish the 2017 United States Olympics Curling Trails in fourth, with a 3-5 record.

Smith joined Jared Allen as the rink's new skip after the 2018-19 season and has since led the team. Also, he won the 2016 United States Mixed Doubles Curling Championship, teaming up with Jessica Schultz, a former United States Women's curling team member.
