Rick Tocchet Family
Rick Tocchet family includes his dad, mom, and two siblings. Tocchet grew up in Scarborough with brothers Andy and Dan.
The former Arizona Coyotes head mentor's nuclear household didn't last till the end. His child has no memories of his father and mother living together.
However, the former couple remained friends and raised the child together. They occasionally meet to celebrate Trevor's achievements.
After high school graduation, the three went on a senior trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Although the father-child relationship took a while to smooth down, Trevor now accompanies his father during the national-level games and vice versa.
The former ice hockey player was born to father Fortunato and mother Norma on April 9, 1964. Both his guardians were fans of sports, especially hockey.
Fortunato worked as a mechanic. While he was young, his father drove him regularly to the practice court. What his father dreamed of came true in 2016 after he won the NHL Stanley Cup title.
On the other hand, his mother, Norma, used to make sandwiches for the whole team in Sault Ste. Marie. He played with the team from 1981 to 1984.
Norma left the world at the age of 93 after a long battle with brain cancer in March 2018. The coach left the Arizona Coyotes to be with his grieving brothers. His position was handled by assistant John MacLean at the time.
