Yes, Rick Tocchet was once married to Lynne Tochhet. But, their marital relationship ended in 2001. Currently, Rick is single.

The former sports analyst for the NHL on TNT has a child from his first marriage. The former couple welcomed their first child in 1999. Even though they couldn't save their knots, the duo remain good friends.

Currently, Tocchet is the head coach of the Vancouver Canucks of the NHL, while his ex-spouse has been into interior design for over two decades.

Starting with the 1977 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament, the 6-foot-tall athlete took retirement after playing for the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2001-2002 season.

Rick has outstanding records of 400 goals and 2000 penalty minutes in the history of the NHL.

The former ice hockey player was born to father Fortunato and mother Norma on April 9, 1964. Both his guardians were fans of sports, especially hockey.

Fortunato worked as a mechanic. While he was young, his father drove him regularly to the practice court. What his father dreamed of came true in 2016 after he won the NHL Stanley Cup title.

On the other hand, his mother, Norma, used to make sandwiches for the whole team in Sault Ste. Marie. He played with the team from 1981 to 1984.

Norma left the world at the age of 93 after a long battle with brain cancer in March 2018. The coach left the Arizona Coyotes to be with his grieving brothers. His position was handled by assistant John MacLean at the time.

Rick Tocchet Wife

Rick Tocchet wife Lynne Tocchet is a business development leader at Discovery Land Company. Lynne and Rick married in the 1990s.

The couple welcomed their first child on December 8, 1999. Everything went smoothly at the beginning. Yet, the couple signed the annulment papers in 2001, when their baby boy was still a toddler.

None of them have opened up about their separated relationships. However, they have remained good friends and co-parented their only child. Lynne still uses her ex-husband's surname.

Even after two decades of divorce, the former bride and groom are still in contact. When Rick won the Stanley Cup Finals in 2017, Lynne and their son joined the coach to celebrate his victory.

Lynne Tocchet

Lynne Tocchet is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She returned to the city with her son after her married life ended.

According to her LinkedIn profile, the former sportsman's spouse works as the business development leader at Discovery Land Company, RH.

Previously, she worked as director of interior design at Pacaso for around two years. Pacaso is a real estate company, that helps people buy luxury homes.

Also, she has held the position of design principal for over seven years. She joined Creative Designs in August 2014 and looked after the firm's residential and commercial design businesses, construction, and furniture schematics.

Lynne left the firm in July 2021. Regarding her educational qualifications, she holds a bachelor's degree in science in marketing from Penn State University. She completed her studies in 1994.

Ms. Tocchet is active on Facebook. Looking at her social media profile, she seems to love traveling and having fun with her close relatives and friends. Moreover, she frequently updates her boy, Trevor.

Rick Tocchet son Trevor Tocchet is a lacrosse player at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Besides, he is a software engineer.

Junior Tochhet was born on December 8, 1999, in Paradise Valley, Arizona. At the time, his father was playing for the Phoenix Coyotes. Later, he moved to Pittsburgh with his mother.

He enrolled at Mt Lebanon Senior High School to acquire a high school diploma in 2014. Later, he joined Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2018 to study bachelor of science. Trevor graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors in computer science in 2022.

During his college days, he worked as a teaching assistant in Troy. Later, he joined Thermo Fisher Scientific as an automation engineer intern.

It has been around nine months since Trevor settled in Seattle as a software engineer at Picket Homes. The company helps its clients transform their residential areas with modern technology.

Trevor prefers to keep his life away from the limelight. He hasn't made a single post on his Facebook account. Furthermore, the aspiring athlete has kept his Instagram profile @trevortocchet private with 1349 followers.

In the summer of 2005, he briefly served as the assistant mentor for the Phoenix Coyotes. During the year-end, he worked as a part-time head coach instead of Wayne Gretzky for Phoenix.

In 2009, Rick was assigned as the head coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning after being an associate for around a year. On the team, his debut victory was in November 2008 against the Nashville Predators.

In June 2014, Rick joined the Pittsburgh Penguins as an assistant mentor. After two years, the Penguins won the Stanley Cup. The subsequent year, in June, the team won the silver cup once again, defeating the Nashville Predators.

The following month, he was hired as head coach for the Coyotes. In 2020, the Coyotes won against the Buffalo Sabres. After the 2020–2021 season, Rick said goodbye to the club.
