Figure Skating TV Schedule 2023-24

Figure skating TV schedule 2023-24 includes the Grand Prix Final on December 7-10. Both junior and senior categories will take place in Beijing.

The new season kicked off with the Lake Placid Ice Dance International from July 31 to August 2. It was followed by the Cranberry International.

There have been many partnership changes, the most notable being the skating pair of Vasilisa Kaganovskaia and Valeriy Angelopol dissolved.

The athletes will compete in the Europeans, Four Continents, Junior World Championship, World Championship, and the Winter Youth Olympics.

The Grand Prix Final will be followed by Skate America, Skate Canada, Grand Prix de France, Cup of China, Grand Prix of Espoo, and NHK Trophy.

For those wondering where to watch figure skating, the majority of the events will be broadcast by NBC, Peacock, USA Network, E! and YouTube.

Terry Gannon

NBC's figure skating play-by-play commentator, Terry Gannon calls the events together with Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir.

For their commentary on NBCSN’s live figure skating coverage at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, the trio received great acknowledgment that helped NBC network to acclaim the 10 best weekday daytime audiences in its history.

In advance of his media career with the NBC Sports Group, Gannon called the NBA, WNBA, U.S. Open Championship, The Open Championship, college football, college basketball, and figure skating for ESPN.

Tara Lipinski

Lipinski works as a figure skating analyst for NBC Sports Group. She called the 2018 Olympic Winter Games and 2014 Olympic Winter Games.

Moreover, Tara is a prominent member of the announcing team during the U.S. Figure Skating Championships, the World Championships, the ISU Grand Prix Series, and the Winter Games.

Lipinski holds the record of the youngest gold medalist in the history of the Olympic Winter Games, winning it at the age of only 15 in 1998.

Johnny Weir

Weir is a U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Famer, who calls NBC Olympics’ figure skating along with play-by-play commentator Gannon and Lipinski.

He debuted as a lead analyst at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics. Previously, Johnnu worked as a figure skating analyst for NBCSN’s coverage of the 2014 Sochi Olympics. Also, he served as a correspondent for the 2016 Rio Olympics.

In his 16-year career, Weir won consecutive U.S. titles from 2004 to 2006. He was inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2020.

Peacock Figure Skating Schedule

What channel is figure skating on today? Peacock is another primary broadcaster of the figure skating events in North America alongside NBC.

Both of these channels consist of insightful broadcast members and analysts. You can also enjoy the beautiful sports on USA Network and E!.

They live broadcast major events such as the ISU Grand Prix Series, U.S. Figure Skating Championships, U.S. Autumn Classic, and multiple others. 

More than 200 hours of live coverage of figure skating will be available on Peacock throughout the season. Sadly, we can't see the replays of figure skating on Peacock anymore.

US Figure Skating Championships 2024

The 2024 U.S. Figure Skating Championships is going to be held in Columbus for the first time in history. The event will kick off on January 23.

Prevagen being the title sponsor, the event is branded as the 2024 Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships. The championship events are all set to be hosted at Nationwide Arena.

Local figure skating clubs and the community partners of the Greater Columbus Sports Commission have hugely supported the championships.

The crucial event will determine athletes who will represent the United States in international competitions, namely the World Championships, Winter Olympics, and Four Continents Championships.

There will be multiple sessions every day and a single session ticket will be valid for only a single session of your choosing, not the whole day. All session tickets provide you with a seat for every session, every day.

The first U.S. Figure Skating Championships were hosted in 1914 at New Haven, Connecticut. Since then, the event has taken place every year.

Scott Hamilton became the men's champion four times. The most notable Women’s Champion is Peggy Fleming, who took the championship titles 5 times.

U.S. Figure Skating Championships Schedule 2024

The opening ceremony of the event will take place on January 22. However, the actual event will begin the following day on January 23, 2024.

More than one ice session will be organized each day. The championship event will wrap up the winning figure skaters of different categories on January 28.
