Yet, it won't surprise the ice hockey fans if they see his kids playing NHL games shortly. One of them is already playing ice hockey in the college league.

The second child of the youngest goalie to win Stanley Cup plays for Concordia Stingers in college ice hockey. Frederick has also played for the Remparts in QMJHL.

Another son quit playing ice hockey to pursue a career in the music field. Likewise, Roy's son-in-law, Pierre-Cedric Labrie, is a prospective player of the NHL franchise, Tampa Bay Lighting.

The eldest son (born March 15, 1989), Jonathan Piuze-Roy, pursued ice hockey in junior leagues. Even though he enjoyed standing by the net, he hung off the skates to pursue a music career.

At age 16, he had already put music to his poetry. "What I've Become," "Found My Way," and "Mr. Optimist" are some of his albums.

Frederick is a college ice hockey player. He plays for Concordia Stingers, the sports team of Concordia University. He enrolled in the university to complete his studies.

The only daughter of the Hall of Fame goaltender didn't play ice hockey. Instead, she married the one from the same field.

Jana is married to Tampa Bay Lightning prospect winger Pierre Labrie. Together, they are blessed with two adorable boys.

Patrick Roy retired on May 28, 2003, as an NHL goaltender. Roy played with two franchises during his 19 years of NHL career.

"Saint Patrick" professional hockey career began after the Canadiens picked him in the 1984 Entry Draft. He played 11 seasons with the club until 1996.

Rest of the eight seasons, he played with the Avalanche. He won four Silver Cups, three Conn Smythe Trophy, and multiple accolades. One of the Top 100 best NHL players announced retirement after 551 career wins.
