Devils Ring of Honor Night

The Devils are all set to induct their second honoree into the Ring of Honor before the game. The fans in the arena will receive a limited-edition Ring of Honor pin courtesy of Citizens as a giveaway.

New Jersey will play against the Dallas Stars that Saturday night at their home arena.

The Devils franchise celebrated the first Ring of Honor back in 2017. During the event, the organization posthumously inducted the former New Jersey Devils owner John McMullen.

McMullen became the first member to receive the honor. In 1982, he brought the NHL to New Jersey. The Devils inducted him before the team's match against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Lou Lamoriello, former Devils president and general manager, now the New York Islanders president of hockey operations and GM, attended the 15-minute ceremony.

Other notable attendees at the event were Brendan Shanahan, a former Devils forward and the current president and alternate governor for the Toronto Maple Leafs, as well as Ken Daneyko, Claude Lemieux, and several more former Devils players.

In 1982, McMullen purchased the Colorado Rockies and moved the club to the Meadowlands. The team was renamed the New Jersey Devils after a fan vote.

McMullen was known for bringing the Russian players to the NHL. He passed away at the age of 87 in 2005.

The Devils franchise moved to Newark before the 2007-08 season.

New Jersey will celebrate the Ring of Honor event after six years. However, who will be the next inductee in the event after McMullen has been a hot topic among the Devils fans?

There are a lot of great options to choose from for another inductee.

The Hockey Writers wrote in its post on September 25 that Sergei Brylin should be the next inductee.

It has also been mentioned that Mike “Doc” Emrick, Jaques Lemaire, and Lou Lamoriello deserve to get the honor. Yet, it focused more on Brylin for his contribution to New Jersey's hockey.

Brylin is the only player of all three Stanley Cup teams that doesn’t have his name retired. The Russian is top 20 in goals, assists, and points in New Jersey's history.

To serve the Devils franchise even more, Brylin has coached the team as an assistant.

However, it will be no surprise if the Devils choose to induct a different personality other than the one mentioned here.

NJ Devils Gender Equality Night

The Devils have scheduled Gender Equality Night on March 24, 2024, for the 2023-24 season. The event is a part of the NHL's Hockey is for Everyone campaign.

There will be a match against the Florida Panthers that night, starting at 7:00 p.m.

In the event, the importance of gender inclusion in hockey and within the organization will be highlighted.

The National Hockey League has been leading the initiative to support gender equality throughout the sport at all levels.

Prior to the National Anthem, the 2024 NJSIAA Girls High School Ice Hockey State Champions will be recognized that night.

In their last season, the NJ Devils conducted the Gender Equality Night on March 7, 2023, playing versus the Toronto Maple Leafs.

With a similar pattern, the 2023 NJSIAA Girls High School Ice Hockey State Champions were recognized before the National Anthem.

New Jersey players wore special skate-around jerseys designed by Danielle Cartier.

The Malaga resident was chosen to create specialty jerseys based on her strong submission to the Devils' Artist Open Call and her beautiful portfolio of work for the Devils the previous season.

The 2021-22 Gender Equality warmup jerseys were designed by Amrisa Niranjan.

New Jersey players will appear in specialty jerseys during pregame warmups this season as well. The uniform is to be decided yet.

Jersey Appreciation Night by NJ Devils

Jersey Appreciation Night will be celebrated by the Devils franchise on April 24, 2024. The team will wrap up all its promotional events during their 2023-24 regular season games.

The Devils' Jersey Appreciation Night is the 2023 version of Fan Appreciation Night.

MSG Networks will sponsor the event. New Jersey will celebrate the fans during the events and a Timo Meier bobblehead courtesy of MSG Networks will be given away to the first 9,000 fans in attendance.

The team will play its final regular season game on the night versus the New York Islanders.

After concluding the match, there will be in-game prizes, activations, and “Jerseys off our Backs” to celebrate the conclusion of the 2023-24 regular season.

Looking back to the NJ Devils' 2023 Fan Appreciation Night, they celebrated the event on April 11, playing their final home game for the season against the Buffalo Sabres.

The first 9,000 fans to attend Prudential Center for the event received a Dougie Hamilton third jersey bobblehead courtesy of MSG Networks.

The night also featured a pre-game Fan Fest, in-game prizes, custom warm-up jerseys, activations, etc. to celebrate the conclusion of the 2022-23 regular season.

Select season ticket members were chosen to receive individual Devils player's jerseys "off their backs," presented to fans on the ice post-game.

The pregame Fan Fest featured the Devils' Mobile Tour Experience and a Premio Foods food truck. Local band Who Brought the Dog and DJ Cole Pardi also performed on the game day. Fan Fest was started at 4:00 p.m.

New Jersey hasn't disclosed the activities to be performed at their new Fan Appreciation Night for this season.

However, we can expect that the event will be grand like the previous years and the fans will treated with many giveaways.

NJ Devils Pride Night

The Devils franchise will be observing Pride Night on December 21 at their home. Tickets for the events are available to purchase at Ticketmaster.

A regular season game will be played against the Edmonton Oilers. New Jersey players will rock colorful specially designed pride-themed jerseys during the pregame warmups.

The jerseys will be auctioned off following the game.

Pride Nights were started to celebrate in the NHL to raise the visibility and acceptance of LGBTQ+ people. Every NHL team hosted the event in the past.

However, many of those plans were canceled by the NHL teams after being made public in the last season.

Some of the other NHL players including the Flyers player Ivan Provorov chose to stay out of participating in warmups with his teammates for the Pride Night event last season.

Furthermore, some of the NHL teams including the Chicago Blackhawks, Minnesota Wild, and the New York Rangers opted not to wear Pride jerseys during warmups.

But the Devils were among the teams to celebrate the event last season. The team included the event on their calendar for December 29. New Jersey's players were seen in colorful warmup jerseys to celebrate Pride Night.

The jerseys for the Devils were designed by local artist Danny Martinez. The players wore custom sweaters and they also used rainbow tape on their sticks previous to their game against the Boston Bruins at Prudential Center.
