Dallas Stars (American Airlines Center) Bag Policy 2023 And Parking Map

The Center has allowed wristlets and clutches of size 4.5''x6.5'' at all entrances. Only fanny packs and clear plastic bags of size 14''x14''x6'' are allowed. They should go through designated X-ray entry points.

It has permitted medical bags and parenting bags restricting the traditional backpack or large totes. You must submit all the permitted bags for security inspection.

Fans who need to check a large bag are provided Remote Bag Check at Comerica Garage (formerly Silver Garage).

How Your Bag is Reviewed at the American Airlines Center?

The fans coming to watch a hockey or a basketball match will have to go through the metal detector at the stadium before the ticket scanning. The security team inspects the fan with a bag. 

The team will check the contents of the bag, its size, and the inside-outside to confirm if it violates the security policy. The security team will let the fan enter the arena if there are no issues with the bag.

We recommend you purchase the single-compartment clear bag for the Dallas Mavericks or Dallas Stars game match. The venues are being pushed to adopt a clear bag policy in the future.

Dallas Stars (American Airlines Center) Purse Policy

The Center has allowed the fans to enter the arena with a purse size up to 14”x14”x6” at designated X-ray points. The fans are permitted to enter through any entrances with a wristlet, clutch, or wallet 4.5x6.5.

Small-sized wallets and purses are generally accepted in the arena. However, the security staff will make a search in it.

American Airlines Center has more than 5,000 parking spaces available for its guests. Most of these parking spaces are available conveniently within two blocks of the Center.

Moreover, when the in-house parking space is packed, over 3,000 parking spaces to the South and East of the American Airlines Center are within a short walking distance.

The Center makes parking lots open two hours prior to the start of each event. Similarly, it remains open for two hours after the end of each event. 

The fans can't park overnight. AAC has not made the "in and out" facility available.

How Many People Does American Airlines Center Hold?

American Airlines Center holds 20,000 people at a time. During a basketball match, it can have 19,200 people together and up to 21,146 with standing room. In an Ice hockey match, it has the ability to hold 18,532 people. The number can reach up to 19,323 with standing room.

21,000 people can enjoy it at the same time during a concert in the AAC arena. It was opened on July 17, 2001, with a cost of $400 million. The City of Dallas owns it.
