Arizona Coyotes Pride Night Celebration

Arizona Coyotes Pride Night Celebration took place on October 27 when they hosted the Los Angeles Kings. Pride T-shirts were included with special ticket packages.

The Coyotes are the first team to host a Pride Night in the 2023/24 NHL regular season. They fell 5-4 to the Kings on the Friday Night game.

Coyotes defenseman, Travis Dermott who made headlines for openly defying the NHL's ban on pride tape missed the Pride Night celebration due to illness.

The ban on specialty jerseys still stands, which meant no pride-themed jerseys worn by players during warmups. Although the ban was lifted, some Coyotes players chose to use the Pride-themed tapes during the warmups on the Coyotes' Pride night.

The night itself included the national anthem performed by four members of the Phoenix Gay Men's Chorus. The Coyotes mascot could also be seen sporting a rainbow headband.

Matthew Spang-Marshall, president of the Arizona Legacy Pride Hockey Association, dropped the ceremonial puck. There was a shootout contest with members of the Pride Growlers during the intermission.

The Pride Growlers is a program launched by the team in 2021 to create a safe environment for members of the LGBTQ+ community to learn hockey.

Coyotes Fan Appreciation Night

Arizona Coyotes Fan Appreciation Night will take place on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. They will be hosting the Edmonton Oilers at the Mullet Arena.

Fan Appreciation nights are when a team shows their appreciation for the fans who have supported them through thick and thin over the years and throughout the season. This is the night when teams celebrate their fans' support with giveaways and various activities.

Generally held in the last home game of an NHL team, the fan appreciation night is a long-standing tradition for most teams. The night usually involves various giveaways, discounts on concessions, and many more events all geared to show the team's appreciation of their fans.

The oldest franchise to have never played in the Stanley Cup Finals as of 2023, the Coyotes will most certainly not slack on appreciating their fans who have stuck with them. Fans can expect exciting giveaways and other exciting activities the team will most likely announce prior to the night in question.

Last season's fan appreciation night featured a "jersey off the player's back" given to select fans. Although no official announcements have been made yet fans will most likely get the chance to grab themselves a player-worn game jersey this season as well.

The team's last game at their previous home Gila River Arena before their move to Mullet Arena was dedicated to fans. The night featured a 2021/22 team yearbook given to the first 7,500 fans.

The night was attended by former players like Shane Doan, Jeremy Roenick, Curtis Joseph, Ray Whitney, Zbynek Michalek, Paul Bissonnette, Tyson Nash, Taylor Pyatt, Dave Scatchard, and Carly Accardo.
